Sketch it. Build it. Change your mind.
Plasma CAD follows the parametric workflow mechanical engineers already know: constrained sketches, a feature tree that rebuilds on every edit, assemblies, drawings and sheet metal. It runs as a native Windows app on the Open CASCADE geometry kernel.

The window, item by item
| Item | Region |
|---|---|
| 1 | Menus and command searchThe usual menus, plus Search commands, which finds any command by name. |
| 2 | Command ribbonSketch, Features, Evaluate and Sheet Metal tabs with large labelled buttons, grouped the way you work. |
| 3 | Heads-up toolbarZoom to fit, standard orientations, display style, section view and selection filters, right over the model. |
| 4 | Orientation cubeClick a face, edge or corner to snap the view. The house button takes you home. |
| 5 | Document tabsParts, assemblies and drawings open side by side. Ctrl+Tab switches between them. |
| 6 | FeatureManager treeThe part's history from top to bottom. Edit any feature, or drag the rollback bar to step back. |
| 7 | PropertiesThe selected feature's parameters, edited in place. |
| 8 | Status barRebuild state, units, and what you're editing. |
Sketch with a real solver
Lines, arcs, circles, slots, polygons and splines, with Smart Dimension and geometric relations. The sketch goes green when it's fully constrained, tells you how many degrees of freedom are left when it isn't, and flags anything over-constrained.
- Line · Centerline · Rectangle · Circle · Arc · Slot · Polygon · Spline
- Smart Dimension, Trim, Offset and Mirror Entities
- 3D sketches and sketching on faces
Change your mind at any step
Every operation lands in the FeatureManager tree. Edit a dimension in Extrude1 and every feature after it rebuilds. Drag the rollback bar to see the part as it was, or insert a feature earlier in the history.
- Extrude · Revolve · Sweep · Loft
- Cut · Hole Wizard · Fillet · Chamfer · Shell · Draft
- Linear, circular and sketch patterns · Mirror
Assemblies with mates
Insert parts, mate faces and edges, move and rotate components, and build exploded views. Parts, assemblies and drawings open as tabs, and Ctrl+Tab jumps between them.
- Mates, including edge mates
- Move/Rotate Component · Exploded View
- Interference Detection
Drawings for the shop floor
Put standard views of a part or assembly on a sheet, dimension and annotate them, fill in the title block and bill of materials, then export.
- Drawing and Annotate tabs
- Title block and BOM
- Export DXF and PDF
Sheet metal and flat patterns
Start from a base flange and add edge and miter flanges, hems and jogs. The flat pattern unfolds the part with its bend lines, ready to cut.
- Base Flange · Edge Flange · Miter Flange · Hem · Jog
- Sheet metal tables
- Flat pattern export to DXF
Open files, in and out
Work in native .cadpart, .cadasm and .caddraw files, and trade geometry with everything else through STEP, STL, DXF and PDF.
- Import STEP, reference meshes and DXF as a sketch
- Export STEP, STL, DXF and PDF
- Open CASCADE geometry kernel
