Privacy, in plain words.

Plasma CAD is published by Payne Capital LLC. This page says what happens to information about you when you visit this site, buy a license, write to us, or run the application.

WhenWhat happens
You run Plasma CAD Nothing leaves your computer. The application does not use the internet: no telemetry, no update check, no account and no activation. A license key is checked on your own computer. Your files stay where you save them.
You visit this site Your browser's request reaches Cloudflare, which hosts the site. That is your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. Cloudflare uses it to deliver the page and to keep the site safe, and shows us totals, such as how many visits came from each country. We keep no visitor log of our own, and an ordinary visit sets no cookie.
A page loads The typeface comes from Google Fonts.Your browser fetches it from Google, so Google receives the same kind of request: IP address and browser type.
You download Nothing more than a page visit. No name, no email address and no sign-up.
You buy a license Stripe runs the checkout and sells the license on our behalf through its service Link.Stripe receives what you enter there: your name, email address, billing address and payment details. We can see the name, business name, email address and billing address you gave, and what you bought. We never see your card number. Your license key holds the name you gave, a license number, the date and the number of people. It is emailed to you through Cloudflare, and a copy of that email goes to our licensing mailbox as our record of the license. The page that shows your key is made from your purchase each time it is opened. Our server stores nothing.
You write to us We receive your email address and what you write.Mail to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare to our mailbox, which Google hosts. We keep a conversation for as long as it is needed to answer you, and as a record of licenses and quotes.
You came from an ad Microsoft's advertising tag may load. It is the only thing on this site that sets cookies.See the next section.

Advertising

We advertise Plasma CAD through Microsoft Advertising, on Bing and on sites that carry its ads. To learn which ads are worth paying for, we need to know whether a click on an ad led to a download.

So if you arrive here by clicking one of those ads, and your connection is in the United States, the site loads Microsoft's tag, called Universal Event Tracking. Through it Microsoft learns that you visited after clicking the ad, which of our pages you opened, and whether you clicked Download or Buy a license. We see totals: how many clicks on an ad led to a download. We do not see who you are. Microsoft may also use what the tag reports to choose which ads it shows you later.

If you came here any other way, or your connection is in any other country, the tag is not loaded and no cookie is set. The pages that show a license key never load it. To decide, the page asks our own server which country your connection is in. The answer is yes or no, and nothing is kept.

Cookies the tag sets on this site
NameKept forWhat it is
_uetmsclkid90 daysThe number of the ad click that brought you here.
_uetsid1 dayA number for this visit.
_uetvidAbout a yearA number for your browser, so that a later visit counts as the same visitor.

Microsoft may also read a cookie of its own, kept under its own address. For the rest of a visit that began with an ad, your browser also keeps a note in its session storage that says so; it is gone when you close the tab. Microsoft handles what it receives under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Your choices

How do I stop the advertising tag?

Clear this site's cookies in your browser and the three above are gone. An ad blocker or your browser's tracking protection stops the tag from loading at all. To stop Microsoft from choosing ads by your interests, use Microsoft's ad settings.

What do you hold about me, and can you delete it?

If you have never bought a license or written to us, nothing. Otherwise write to licensing@plasma-cad.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Records of a purchase are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require.

Who else handles my data?

The companies named above, each for its own part: Cloudflare (hosting and email), Google (the typeface and our mailbox), Stripe and Link (payment), and Microsoft (advertising). They are based in the United States and may handle data there and in other countries.
